As expected, Samsung revealed its new Gear S smartwatch range – which consists of the Gear S3 frontier and classic –  in Berlin yesterday.

With the new Gear S3, Samsung has added a number of new features like built-in GPS, IP68 water resistance and Samsung Pay in some markets – though not Ireland just yet.

For the first time, the Gear S3 meets IP68 standards for water resistance so if you get caught in a shower or accidentally splash water on your S3 while washing your hands you don’t need to worry. Similarly, the Gear S3 also features heavy-duty Corning Gorilla Glass SR+, which is specifically designed for wearable devices to provide a tougher, more scratch resistant and crisp display.

Another nice feature on the S3 is the enhancements to the rotating bezel. Now users can easily reject or accept a call or snooze an alarm with a simple twist. Check out some of the other new specs below.
